I Just Can't Win

These bus delays are just ridiculous. Over 15 minutes late, how are they getting away with it? I got a different bus just because it said on Google Maps that it would take slightly less time than the really late bus, but it ended up arriving at the station several minutes late and made basically no difference. I think because its route has some diversion or something that makes it loop around a place it's already been past, but you'd think with Google Maps having live bus times and information about delays that it would also have information about diversions?

Nothing Interesting On

Something my Dad is bothered about is how there aren't many interesting TV shows on most evenings at the moment, or new episodes of shows released on streaming services. Monday has the Quiz shows, but one of the three they usually have on has finished, while the other two are close to finishing, and then we'll have to go a few months without those before they start up again. And then there's not much on the other days either. I've not got many shows to be invested in at the moment, and I have other ways I can entertain myself, so it never really bothered me when there was nothing interesting on. I don't know what my Dad could do to be less bored in the evenings.

Uncertainty

People are panicking right now over these supposed reports about the producers at Strictly Come Dancing actually being ruthless for the first time in years and dropping certain professional dancers. I wasn't too worried about my fave at first, but now it seems uncertain as to whether he will survive the cull or not. On the one hand, the pro lineup had gotten too big because many of them didn't want to leave on their own accord, and it's good if they're trying to reduce the number of pros on the bench (which would probably go back to 0 is not for having to take same sex partnerships into account). But on the other, quite a few of the ones who have supposedly been axed or given a lesser role are those who people thought haven't had much of a chance to shine, and because of that they haven't connected well with viewers, which is more likely to get them dropped. Missing

Inspiration is everywhere! Seriously! Today I decided to go to my city's arboretum, and what I discovered there has given me some more story inspiration! So there's this bell tower, one with a Chinese design (although some of the letters on it look more Russian or something? I've forgotten the history of this tower). Anyway, I hadn't been up to that area in years, so I decided to go there, and...   There's something not quite right about this...   ...The bell is missing! I looked online, and it turns out the bell has been missing since last year in February. People think it was stolen by some people who I guess were desperate enough for money to go and steal it and sell it to someone who has probably melted it by now. Apparently it was just a replica but still an important one that had been there for many years. Seems like all they can do now is make a new replica and hope no one steals that.
