Sometimes Up To Something

Today we had one of our Youth Club trips. We went out to a park that I've been to a few times before, but today I basically explored all of it, because we were given these maps and we had to find numbers throughout the park and there would be a letter next to those numbers. So if there's anything I've learned, it's that I'm really not good at reading maps. I had trouble trying to tell which direction we were going in, we kept on going past where some of these letters were a few times, and in the end most people gave up because they wanted to go to the play area, so there were only a few of us who were determined to finish it, and we resorted to using a map app to figure out where we were and which direction to go (mine wouldn't work because the accuracy was low and I would have had to install some other app to bring it up, we ended up relying on someone else's phone). I decided I wanted to go out to this place I'd heard had lakes and places to walk. So I went there, and saw a load of interesting things. The weather was alright, it was nice and warm and sunny at first, but the clouds crept up. It's getting there, now that it's March.   

  "Where's the pheasant? Where is he?" is what I sometimes say to myself when I'm just around the corner from the place where I go for work training, because I have seen a male pheasant around there once or twice. Well, today I got off the bus at a different place to walk the rest of the way in a nicer area than right by a busy road (like I have been doing the past few times), and since the bus was early, I thought I'd explore that area a bit more. I ws just looking at the map on my phone to see if it would be worth going down one of the other paths at some point or if I'd be better off sticking to where I know, when suddenly, a pheasant flew past! So that meant I just had to go near where he landed to try and get some pictures of him. This morning seemed like it was starting to get warmer. But it was only warmer where I live. On my way to work training, it was cold enough to be frosty, and it stayed cold all day. But at least I got some nice pictures out of it.
