A New Thing I Did

Today a friend of mine brought in this mechanism used to make round badges and magnets at our social group. I was the only one who really used it today, though. She's planning on bringing it to the youth club at some point.

Anyway, as I'd recently thought of an idea for something I don't want to give any details for at the moment in case a certain person I know reads this, the night sky and constellations were on my mind, and I thought they'd make some good badge designs. This friend's sign is Leo, and I asked a few more people when their birthdays were to make badges for them as well.

The others are Aquarius, Scorpius (Scorpio), and Gemini. You can see where the gold pen I used for the lines was starting to run out a bit.

People are panicking right now over these supposed reports about the producers at Strictly Come Dancing actually being ruthless for the first time in years and dropping certain professional dancers. I wasn't too worried about my fave at first, but now it seems uncertain as to whether he will survive the cull or not. On the one hand, the pro lineup had gotten too big because many of them didn't want to leave on their own accord, and it's good if they're trying to reduce the number of pros on the bench (which would probably go back to 0 is not for having to take same sex partnerships into account). But on the other, quite a few of the ones who have supposedly been axed or given a lesser role are those who people thought haven't had much of a chance to shine, and because of that they haven't connected well with viewers, which is more likely to get them dropped. Nothing Interesting On

Something my Dad is bothered about is how there aren't many interesting TV shows on most evenings at the moment, or new episodes of shows released on streaming services. Monday has the Quiz shows, but one of the three they usually have on has finished, while the other two are close to finishing, and then we'll have to go a few months without those before they start up again. And then there's not much on the other days either. I've not got many shows to be invested in at the moment, and I have other ways I can entertain myself, so it never really bothered me when there was nothing interesting on. I don't know what my Dad could do to be less bored in the evenings.

A Small Wet Adventure

Not that kind of wet!!! Can't I use certain words without them being interpreted in an inappropriate way?  Anyway, today I went out to a park because I wanted to go somewhere with some uphill areas that wasn't the local woods, and it was raining a lot. I thought I'd be fine because my coat has a hood, but it clearly wasn't enough and the coat that was supposed to be waterproof got soaked. So I wanted to go along a different path, one of those shortcut paths, so that I'd be slightly more sheltered from the rain. I say slightly because at this time of year the trees have no leaves on them so they don't shelter you as much from the rain as they do in summer. So I spent ages walking around the trees while trying not to slip, and ended up finding myself at some dead ends. I didn't want to go all the way back the way I came, though, so I kept looking for other paths that could help me get back onto the main path, while I wasn't getting any dryer. At least I go...
