Prophetic Dreams

I have been known to have prophetic dreams before. That is, I'll dream about something happening, and then it will happen in real life. Maybe not in exactly the same way as it did in the dream, but still with enough similarity.

The first instance of this I remember was back in primary school. There was this period of time where on a certain day every other week, my class would have a different teacher in the morning, and our lessons would overrun into break time (I don't remember the exact reason why, I think because one of them was PE), so we'd end up having our break time at a different time to the other classes to make up for it. There was another class that would go through this on a different week to us. The first time it happened, I got really stressed about it until I was assured we'd still get our full break time, but I still didn't like the change in routine.

Anyway, at one point, it was the week where the other class was meant to be going through this. But the night before the day where it was meant to happen, I had a dream where it was my class again.

Guess what happened the next day.

I don't remember the exact reason why, but I think it was because either mine or the other class' teacher was off sick or something so the weeks were swapped.

Other prophetic dreams I've had have included watching a superhero cartoon show where a character was injured and lost consciousness (which really excites me in stories for some reason if we get to see them wake up elsewhere after), my cousin's baby being another boy after her previous ones were also boys, and which of the announced celebrities my favourite Strictly Come Dancing pro would be partnered with in last year's series (at least before an injury meant she had to be replaced with someone I'd never heard of before).

And now I've found out that a dream I had a while ago that I assumed had not been prophetic actually was.

The more reasonable explanation is that these were anxiety dreams. But I like to think I have a bit of an ability to dream of the future, and to predict the future when it's usually just coincidences.
