More Annoyance With The Bus

-

Urgh, this morning was annoying. One of the earlier buses never came, so the bus I got on ended up being PACKED!!! It got to the point where I was glad whenever the bus had to stop to let people off, but just as there were people who needed to get off, there were also people who needed to get on, so it didn't make much of a difference.

I 've got another annoyance as well. Some people from work training told me about this app that gives more accurate bus times, which I thought could help me make better plans for how to get home or at least make it a bit more bearable. But for some silly reason, Google Play won't let me download it to my phone, only my tablet, and I cna't really carry that around with me in public like that. I had the same problem when trying to look up another app earlier as well. I looked online and several other people are having the same problem, it seems like it might be to do with the internet. Maybe I need to use actual wi-fi rather than phone data or a network that's based on phone data like the one at home. But if that doesn't work, then I'll either need a new phone or will have to wait until it sorts itself out on the other end.

These bus delays are just ridiculous. Over 15 minutes late, how are they getting away with it? I got a different bus just because it said on Google Maps that it would take slightly less time than the really late bus, but it ended up arriving at the station several minutes late and made basically no difference. I think because its route has some diversion or something that makes it loop around a place it's already been past, but you'd think with Google Maps having live bus times and information about delays that it would also have information about diversions?

Nothing Interesting On

Something my Dad is bothered about is how there aren't many interesting TV shows on most evenings at the moment, or new episodes of shows released on streaming services. Monday has the Quiz shows, but one of the three they usually have on has finished, while the other two are close to finishing, and then we'll have to go a few months without those before they start up again. And then there's not much on the other days either. I've not got many shows to be invested in at the moment, and I have other ways I can entertain myself, so it never really bothered me when there was nothing interesting on. I don't know what my Dad could do to be less bored in the evenings.

Inspiration is everywhere! Seriously! Today I decided to go to my city's arboretum, and what I discovered there has given me some more story inspiration! So there's this bell tower, one with a Chinese design (although some of the letters on it look more Russian or something? I've forgotten the history of this tower). Anyway, I hadn't been up to that area in years, so I decided to go there, and...   There's something not quite right about this...   ...The bell is missing! I looked online, and it turns out the bell has been missing since last year in February. People think it was stolen by some people who I guess were desperate enough for money to go and steal it and sell it to someone who has probably melted it by now. Apparently it was just a replica but still an important one that had been there for many years. Seems like all they can do now is make a new replica and hope no one steals that. After that, I went down to the aviary to see the birds, but there were bar...
